History of Midwest Transport, Inc.

Midwest Transport, Inc. became operational in 2003, hauling both mail for the U.S. Postal Service and general dry freight for various customers. Midwest Transport was a successor to Midwest Transit who had conducted such trucking business since 1980.

Midwest Transport is continuously in the top ten of the largest mail haulers in the United States. It holds a large number of postal contracts to transport U.S. Mail between numerous postal facilities. It also hauls general dry freight for several large national companies.

Midwest Transport, Inc. is a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Robinson, Illinois. It is owned by 9 stockholders, all company employees, who strive to make the company cost efficient, profitable, and reputable in the transportation industry.

Midwest Transport employs approximately 650 employees and does business in or through 33 states. In addition to the home office in Robinson, Illinois, it also has several terminals throughout the country. Its mission is to be a low cost provider of reliable, on-time transportation services.
